Ecological Descriptors
Adult: ectoparasitic, marine.
Diagnosis
The structure of the second maxillae is sufficiently unique to assign this specimen to a new species. As far as the author is aware, no other species currently or in the past included in the genus Clavellodes has similar, flap-like, expansions on the lateral aspects of this part of the body.
