Introduction
This species, which is only known from Australia, is restricted to eastern Queensland and New South Wales. It was originally described from lucerne but is probably a grass feeder as are all other species of Cicadulina. It is recorded as the vector of cereal chlorotic mottle rhabdovirus (Brunt et al. 1990) and the phytoplasma maize wallaby ear in Australia (Schindler 1942, Grylls 1979) and maize streak geminivirus overseas (Brunt et al. 1990).
