Introduction

As far as the synonymy of Cherax davisi Clark, 1941 and C. esculus Riek, 1956, Davie (2002) pointed out that both taxa are arguably junior subjective synonyms of C. destructor' (see also Sokol 1988; Austin 1996; Austin et al. 2003 for supporting analyses).

Extra Distribution Information

Wide-ranging inland and southern Australia, in endorheic catchments, is now widely translocated for aquaculture, introduced to WA.
