Off Leeman, WA (29°40'S, 114°13'E) to Timor Sea north of Darwin, NT (9°50'S, 130°25'E), and Ribbon Reefs, QLD (14°40'S) to Seal Rocks, NSW (32°28'S) with larvae as far south as Sydney (33°00'S), also Lord Howe Island; tropical, Indo-west-central Pacific.
