Syntype(s) whereabouts unknown (Harmer did not designate a holotype; the only material available, only material available, fragments of a ♀ colony held by CUMZ, is thought to be part of the original type material), Pulu Kaniungan Kerjil reef, E coast Borneo, intertidal, with Tubecellaria fusiformis [Bryozoa]. - Cephalodiscus (Cephalodiscus) atlanticus Bayer, F.M. 1962. A new species of Cephalodiscus (Hemichordata: Pterobranchia), the first record from the tropical Western Atlantic. Bulletin of Marine Science 12: 306-312 [308-311].
