Syntype(s) whereabouts unknown (Harmer did not designate a holotype; the only material available, only material available, fragments of a ♀ colony held by CUMZ, is thought to be part of the original type material), Pulu Kaniungan Kerjil reef, E coast Borneo, intertidal, with Tubecellaria fusiformis [Bryozoa].
