Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Angophora hispida (Sm.) Blaxell [MYRTACEAE] Dwarf Apple (on flowers); Eucalyptus sp. [MYRTACEAE] Gum Tree (on flowers); Alphitonia excelsa (A.Cunn. ex Fenzl) Benth. [RHAMNACEAE] Red Ash (on flowers); Angophora floribunda (Sm.) Sweet [MYRTACEAE] Rough-Barked Apple (on flowers); Leptospermum flavescens Sm. [MYRTACEAE] Tantoon (on flowers); Leptospermum sp. [MYRTACEAE] Tea-tree (on flowers); Syzygium smithii (Poir.) Nied. [MYRTACEAE] (on flowers)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Williams (1977) recorded this species from flowers of Leptospermum flavescens (Myrtaceae), Hawkeswood (1978) listed this species from L. phylicoides and Angophora floribunda, Williams & Williams (1983) recorded this species from Angophora hispida and one unidentified species of Leptospermum, and Hawkeswood (1991) confirmed L. flavescens.
