Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Angophora hispida (Sm.) Blaxell [MYRTACEAE] Dwarf Apple (on flowers); Callistemon sieberi DC. [MYRTACEAE] River Bottlebrush (on flowers); Leptospermum flavescens Sm. [MYRTACEAE] Tantoon (on flowers); Leptospermum sp. [MYRTACEAE] Tea-tree (on flowers); Kunzea ambigua (Sm.) Druce [MYRTACEAE] Tick Bush (on flowers); Tristaniopsis laurina (Sm.) Peter G.Wilson & J.T.Waterh. [MYRTACEAE] Water Gum (on flowers); Syzygium floribundum F.Muell. [MYRTACEAE] Weeping Satin Ash (on flowers); Syzygium smithii (Poir.) Nied. [MYRTACEAE] (on flowers)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Williams (1977) recorded this species from flowers of Leptospermum flavescens (Myrtaceae). Williams & Williams (1983) recorded this species from Angophora hispida, Eucalyptus sieberi (?) and one unidentified species of Leptospermum, Hawkeswood (1993) recorded this species from Callistemon paludosus (Myrtaceae), and Williams (1995) added Acmena smithii, Tristaniopsis laurina and Waterhousea floribunda (Myrtaceae).
