Extra Ecological Information

Williams (1977) and Hawkeswood (1978) recorded this species from flowers of Leptospermum flavescens and L. phylicoides. (Myrtaceae), Hawkeswood & Peterson (1982) cited Froggatt's (1893) record of this species' larvae from Acacia brownii, Williams & Williams (1983) recorded this species (partly as quadrifoveolata) from Angophora hispida, Eucalyptus sieberi, Leptospermum flavescens and two unidentified species of Leptospermum, Williams (1995) added Acmena smithii (Myrtaceae) and Cowie (2001) suggested this species would be attracted to Leptospermum spp. in Tasmanian habitats.
