Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Bursaria spinosa Cav. [PITTOSPORACEAE] Boxthorn (on flowers); Eucalyptus sp. [MYRTACEAE] Gum Tree (on flowers); Alphitonia excelsa (A.Cunn. ex Fenzl) Benth. [RHAMNACEAE] Red Ash (on flowers); Kunzea sp. [MYRTACEAE] (on flowers); Leptospermum polygalifolium Salisb. [MYRTACEAE] (on flowers)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Hawkeswood (1981, 1990) recorded this species from flowers of Bursaria spinosa (Pittosporaceae), Williams (1995) recorded this species from Alphitonia excelsa (Rhamnaceae).
