Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Corymbia gummifera (Gaertn.) K.D.Hill & L.A.S.Johnson [MYRTACEAE] Red Bloodwood (on flowers); Leptospermum flavescens Sm. [MYRTACEAE] Tantoon (on flowers)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Brooks (1948) recorded this species from flowers of Eucalyptus gummifera, Williams & Williams (1983) recorded this species from Leptospermum flavescens, and Williams (1985) added Alphitonia excelsa (Rhamnaceae).
