Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Angophora spp. [MYRTACEAE] (on flowers); Eucalyptus paniculata Sm. [MYRTACEAE] Grey Ironbark (on flowers); Eucalyptus spp. [MYRTACEAE] Gum Trees (on flowers); Bursaria spinosa Cav. [PITTOSPORACEAE] Prickly Box (on flowers); Angophora woodsiana F.M.Bailey [MYRTACEAE] Rough-Barked Apple (on flowers); Leptospermum flavescens Sm. [MYRTACEAE] Tantoon (on flowers); Eucalyptus cylindriflora Maiden & Blakely [MYRTACEAE] White Mallee (on flowers); Melaleuca pauperiflora F.Muell. [MYRTACEAE] (on flowers)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Hawkeswood (1982) recorded this species on flowers of Eucalyptus cylindriflora and E. foecunda.
