Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Angophora hispida (Sm.) Blaxell [MYRTACEAE] Dwarf Apple (on flowers); Eucalyptus sp. [MYRTACEAE] Gum Tree (on flowers); Leptospermum flavescens Sm. [MYRTACEAE] Tantoon (on flowers); Leptospermum sp. [MYRTACEAE] Tea-tree (on flowers); Kunzea sp. [MYRTACEAE] (on flowers)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Williams (1977) recorded this species from flowers of Leptospermum flavescens (Myrtaceae), Hawkeswood (1978) added L. phylicoides, and Williams & Williams (1983) listed it from Angophora hispida.
