Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Eucalyptus spp. [MYRTACEAE] Gum Trees (on flowers); Leptospermum spp. [MYRTACEAE] Tea-trees (on flowers); Leptospermum lanigerum (Sol. ex Aiton) Sm. [MYRTACEAE] Woolly Tea-tree (on flowers)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer (associated flora: Eucalyptus l'Hérit. [MYRTACEAE] Gum trees).

Extra Ecological Information

Cowie (2001) suggested that this species might visit the blossom of various Leptospermum and tall Eucalyptus species.
