Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Cuttsia viburnea F.Muell. [ROUSSEACEAE] Native Elderberry (on flowers); Angophora woodsiana F.M.Bailey [MYRTACEAE] Rough-Barked Apple (on flowers); Leptospermum sp. [MYRTACEAE] Tea-tree (on flowers); Tristaniopsis laurina (Sm.) Peter G.Wilson & J.T.Waterh. [MYRTACEAE] Water Gum (on flowers); Syzygium floribundum F.Muell. [MYRTACEAE] Weeping Satinash (on flowers); Kunzea sp. [MYRTACEAE] (on flowers); Syzygium smithii (Poir.) Nied. [MYRTACEAE] (on flowers)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Williams (1995) recorded this species from Cuttsia viburnea (Escallioniaceae), Acmena smithii,Tristaniopsis laurina and Waterhousea floribunda (Myrtaceae).
