Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Bursaria spinosa Cav. [PITTOSPORACEAE] Boxthorn (on flowers); Eucalyptus sp. [MYRTACEAE] Gum Tree (on flowers); Callistemon sieberi DC. [MYRTACEAE] River Bottlebrush (on flowers); Leptospermum sp. [MYRTACEAE] Tea-tree (on flowers); Kunzea sp. [MYRTACEAE] (on flowers); Helichrysum sp. [ASTERACEAE] (on flowers)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Williams & Williams (1983) recorded this species from Leptospermum sp., and Hawkeswood (1993) listed Bursaria spinosa (Pittosporaceae) and suggested a possible association with Callistemon paludosus (Myrtaceae).
