Williams (1977) recorded this species from flowers of Leptospermum flavescens (Myrtaceae), Williams & Williams (1983) added an unidentified species of Leptospermum, Hawkeswood (1991) recorded it from Cassinia compacta and C. uncata and Cowie (2001) listed Leptospermum spp., Bursaria spinosa, Helichrysum dendroideum, Olearia spp. Cassinia spp. and Callistemon spp.
