Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Bursaria spinosa Cav. [PITTOSPORACEAE] Boxthorn (on flowers); Eucalyptus sp. [MYRTACEAE] Gum Tree (on flowers); Eucalyptus racemosa Cav. [MYRTACEAE] Narrow-leaved Scribbly Gum (on flowers); Corymbia gummifera (Gaertn.) K.D.Hill & L.A.S.Johnson [MYRTACEAE] Red Bloodwood (on flowers); Angophora woodsiana F.M.Bailey [MYRTACEAE] Rough-Barked Apple (on flowers); Homalium brachybotrys (F.Muell.) F.Muell. [SALICACEAE] (on flowers)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Brooks (1948) recorded this species from flowers of Eucalyptus gummifera and E. racemosa.
