Diagnosis

Cassiopeidae with eight pinnately or irregularly branched mouth-arms with ventral mouth-openings only and large or small vesicles; ring canal absent or faintly indicated; usually with 14 rhopaliar and about 16 (or more) inter-rhopaliar canals
