Introduction

This species is endemic to Norfolk Island. All other species in the genus are found in New Zealand except for a single species in New Caledonia.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: xylem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Adult female with body and tegmina pallid. Head strongly produced, with crown 0.75x as long as pronotum on midline. Tegmen 3x as long as broad, parabolically produced to apex, extending beyond clavi by a distance equal to their width at this point. Male unknown. Length 8.8 mm; width across eyes 2.4 mm. (Hamilton & Morales 1992)
