Introduction
Note that records of this species from Lord Howe Island by Waite (1904) as Carcharhinus menisorrah, were based on misidentifications of other species (Allen et al. 1976). In 2003 Carcharhinus falciformis was placed on the IUCN Red List as Near Threatened.
