Carnarvon to North West Shelf, WA and off northern Great Barrier Reef to off Double Island Point (about 25°57'S) QLD; detailed records scarce, particularly from continental slope, not recorded from Gulf of Carpentaria or Arafura Sea; tropical, Indo-Pacific.
