This species is known from numerous localities in the Cape York Peninsula and wet tropics regions of North Queensland.

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

This species can be differentiated from B. annulatus Webb by the pair of brown triangular marks on the pronotum. (Webb 1983).
