   Bursa monitata Röding, 1798 by subsequent designation (Jousseaume, 1881, Bulletin de la Société Zoologique de France, 6: 174 (as Murex bufonius Gmelin, 1791, listed by Röding in synonymy of monitata)).

  Type species:

   Ranella candisata Lamarck, 1822 by monotypy (= Murex conditus Gmelin, 1791).
• Bufonariella Thiele, J. 1929. Handbuch der Systematischen Weichtierkunde. Jena : Gustav Fischer Vol. 1(Part 1) 376 pp. [284] [like so many authors, Thiele misspelt the specific epithet of the type species scrobiculator].

  Type species:

   Murex scrobilator Linnaeus, 1758 by monotypy.
