Introduction
This species is restricted to coastal districts of far North Queensland. It is quite distinctive with its broad, expansive vertex coloured bright yellow and contrasting with the dark forewings. In general appearance, it has more in common with Plexitartessus pulchellus, or even species of Newmaniana but it was placed in this genus, by Evans (1981), on the basis of features of the male genitalia, particularly the presence on long, U-shaped processes from the base of the male Xth segment.
