Bubastes Laporte & Gory, 1836 [original designation].
Introduction
This tribe was originally defined by Obenberger (1920), redefined as a subtribe by Holynski (1988) but he later (Holynski 1993) synonymized under it two essentially non-Australian taxa: Philanthaxiina Holynski and Thomassetiina Bellamy. This synonymy was refuted cladistically by Bellamy (1996).
