Introduction

This pale brown species is distributed in inland areas of Queensland and inland and coastal areas of the Northern Territory.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Coloration pale yellow or pale brown. Head and thorax yellow. Crown slightly longest against the eyes. Tegmen pale hyaline brown or vitreous, apically smoky. Length ♂ 6–7 mm, ♀ 8–8.5 mm (Evans 1981). The species can be distinguished from other species in the genus by the shape of the aedeagus which was figured by Evans (1981: 132).
