Species Bothriocroton concolor (Neumann, 1899)

Introduction

This species was originally described as Aponomma concolor by Neumann (1899, page 198), and is now placed in the genus Bothriocroton. It should not be confused with the Neotropical species originally described as Amblyomma concolor by Neumann (1899, page 222), which is now considered to be a junior synonym of Amblyomma auricularium (Conil, 1878) (see Keirans & Hillyard 2001).
