Genus Blattisocius Keegan, 1944
- Blattisocius Keegan, H.L. 1944. On a new genus and species of parasitid mite. Journal of Parasitology 30: 181-183.
Introduction
The genus Blattisocius is known in Australia from three cosmopolitan species. Beaulieu & Weeks (2007) reviewed the state of knowledge and ecological significance of this group in Australia. Specimens of at least one more undescribed or unidentified species are present in collections (Lowry, 1980; Halliday et al., 1998; Proctor et al., 2011).
