   Syntype(s) NHRM 11 specimens, sex unknown (coll.: Feb.), Kimberley district, Western Australia.

Introduction

The identity of this species, and others of the genus, requires an examination of the original type material. Walker's (1851) B. truncatellum is apparently based on a single male specimen and there are multiple syntypes for each of Jacobi's (1928) species so there is a good chance of there being males available for all described species.

All stages: phloem feeder.

Diagnosis

Blass honiggelb, Kiele des Vorderkörpers und das Geäder noch blasser; zwischen Costalrand und R gelegentlich ein braunes Längsband. Stirn merklich breiter als lang, in der Apikalhälfte rasch verschmälert, Fläche zwischen den Bogenkielen etwas erhaben, von diesen nach den Seitenkielen schief abfallend. Clipeus mit scharfen Seitenkielen. Vorder- und Hinterrand des Scheitels fast gleichlaufend; Mesonotum flach gewölbt und glatt, die Kiele wenig deutlich. Deckflügel mässig gewölbt, Apikalrand von der Clavusspitze an flachbogig abgeschrägt; der basale Lappen reicht grade bis zu den Fühlern; Costalrand vor und hinter der Mitte etwas eingebogen; Geäder vollständig in ein Netz aufgelöst, nach der Costa zu undeutlich. Long. 3–4 mm (Jacobi 1928).
