Ecological Descriptors

Adult: predator, terrestrial.

 

Diagnosis

Length 1.8-1.9 mm. Head with antennal tubercles and area anterior to vertexal sulcus roughened, basal portion of vertex smooth. Pronotum with disc smooth, roughened between base and antebasal transverse ridge, ridge minutely denticulate. Elytra with slight denticle on humeral angles. Male eyes with about 25 facets; visible tergite 2 (V) protruding posteriorly as broad, flat rounded tab at middle; 3 (VI) prolonged laterally as bluntly truncate flanges, deeply excavate medially, apex of flat projection from 2 (V) extending to excavation; 4 (VII) deeply excavate and setose beneath flanges of 3 (VI), forming reversed V-shaped deep excavation, with median ridge bearing strip of setae along crest; mesotrochanters with small ventral tubercles. Female eyes with about 20 facets.
