Type data:
Syntype(s) BPBM ♀, quantity unknown (coll.: viii.1904), Kuranda, Queensland
Comment: Knight (1983) referred to a holotype but no holotype exists, only an unknown number of female syntypes. The lack of male syntypes led Knight (1983) to regard this species as a nomen dubium. Knight (1983) also gave the type locality as Cairns but Kirkaldy (1906) gave it as Kuranda which was indicated by the addition of a red "K" to a printed Cairns data label.
