Introduction

This species differs from most other species in the genus by having a flat vertex not continuous with the face. It is known from the southern slopes of New South Wales.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Vertex flat. Male pygophore processes slender, directed posteriorly and curving dorsally, apex acute, annulate subapically. Styles with apical process not expanded distally, tapering to acute dorsally hooked apex. Aedeagus simple; shaft directed dorsally, recurved anteriorly; gonopore extending to midlength of shaft; anterior incision extending more basad than gonopore. Length ♂ 3.84–4.16 mm (Knight 1983).
