Introduction
This species is widespread in Australia although confirmed records are patchy with much material identified simply to genus probably belonging to this species. The species, which was previously known as Eurinoscopus punctatus, is a known vector of tomato big bud and potato purple top wilt phytoplasma diseases in Australia and a suspected vector of Citrus dieback (Grylls 1979).
