Type data:
Holotype USNM ♂ (coll.: 10.ix.1928, H. Hacker), Mt Mee, Queensland.
Introduction
This species has been recorded from the wet tropics of North Queensland and SE Queensland. Webb (1983) also recorded it from New South Wales but the locality, N. Pine River, is in SE Queensland.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
This species can be distinguished by the brown markings on the head and pronotum, by the scarlet markings on the forewing and by the shape of the paired dorsoanterior processes of the aedeagus (Webb 1983).
