Extra Distribution Information

Axinyssa mertoni is rare within the Darwin region, extending into the Sahul Shelf and the Tropical Northwestern Pacific provinces. The record of Bergquist (1965) from Palau needs to be verified as there are several sympatric species of Axinyssa occurring in the area (Lori Bell Colin pers. comm.) (Alvarez & Hooper 2011).
