Ecological Descriptors

Adult: predator, terrestrial.

 

Diagnosis

Length 1.2-1.4 mm. Head with lateral and basal portions of vertex distinctly punctate, smoother between arms of vertexal sulcus; antennomeres VIII two-thirds width of IX, IX about half width of X, clubs clearly formed by apical 3 antennomeres. Pronotal disc more smoothly punctate; lateral margins sharply angulate just posterior to lateral antebasal foveae; lacking any evidence of antebasal sulcus; paranotal carinae faint; lacking anteroprosternal foveae. Elytra with 4 basal foveae. Abdomen with basal impressions of visible tergites 1-3 (IV-VI) sharply defined between discal carinae, 4 (VII) with small mediobasal foveae and lacking discal carinae or sulcus. Tibiae all swollen to middles. Male eyes with about 50 facets; mesotibiae with blunt preapical tooth on mesal margins; metatrochanters with blunt ventral spine near bases. Female eyes with about 35 facets.
