Populations are found in rainforest gullies and along rainforest stream banks throughout the Mt Warning caldera. Colonies reach their highest numbers in one congregation at a large overhang, Natural Bridge, Springbrook National Park. Other notable colonies are in the Sprinbrook Plateau, the Border Ranges, Main Range and Tamborine Mountain (David Newell, herpetologist, Southern Cross University, Conrad Hoskin, herpetologist, Australian National University, pers. comm.). (Baker, C.H., 2010).
