Introduction

This species is apparently based on a single female syntype which cannot reliably be identified with known males. It is clearly congeneric with species of Anzygina but was treated as a nomen dubium by Fletcher & Larivière (2009).

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: parenchyma feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Pale yellowish, rather sordid; rostrum pale ferruginous. Tergites (except genital segment and narrowly laterally) black. Tegmina hyaline milky, veins pale yellow. Vertex at base wider than an eye. Length: 3 mill. (Kirkaldy 1906).
