  Comment: the lectotype and paralectotype(s) of affinis Waterhouse & Turner will be the same as those of modestus Waterhouse.

  Comment: Waterhouse in the original description mentioned ten males and six females.

Locally common on Torres Strait islands, south to Gladstone, QLD. Specimens from NE NSW are accidental introductions.
