Plebeius seltuttus Röber, J.K.M. 1886. Neue Tagschmetterlinge der Indo-Australischen Fauna. Correspondenz-Blatt des entomologischen Vereins Iris zu Dresden 1: 45–72 [67].
Type data: syntypes whereabouts unknown *; Röber in the original description mentioned both sexes and three localities from which he had males.
Type locality: Aru Is., eastern New Guinea and north-western New Guinea (listed in original description).
