Introduction
The Andini was created by Emeljanov (2002) without a formal description or even a statement that the new tribe had been created, other than in the abstract. The tribe contains two genera, Andes Stål, with numerous species including six in Australia (Löcker, et al. 2007), and the small oriental genus Parandes Muir.
Diagnosis
Median carina of metope unforked. Mesonotum with three longitudinal carinae. Forewing with subcostal, radial and medial veins arising separately from a common point on the basal cell or very close to it; with tubercles along veins but not in cells. Hind tibia with 5-6 apical teeth
