[201] (Note #277: Amelora goniota Guest, 1887, A. demistis Guest, 1887 and A. ambiopa Guest, 1887 were all described by both Guest (1887) and Meyrick (1892). In all cases Meyrick retained a specimen sent to him by Guest but Guest retained some specimens. Lectotypes of the Guest species should be selected from Guest's collection now in the SAMA. In the case of A. goniota Meyrick there was a single specimen which must be the holotype; in A. demistis Meyrick there were two syntypes both from Guest. In the case of A. amblopa Meyrick there were additional specimens not from Guest. In the BMNH a Bathurst specimen not from Guest is marked as the potential lectotype but it is desirable that a Guest specimen should be so designated, so that A. amblopa Meyrick remains a junior subjective synonym as well as a junior primary homonym)
