Introduction
Leijs et al (2020) removed Anthophora preissi frogatti Cockerell, 1914 from synonymy with Anthophora preissi Cockerell, 1910, observing that the two were clearly different species and noting that Brooks (1988) had not stated a reason for the synonymy.
