• Amblyomma echidnae Roberts, F.H.S. 1953. The Australian species of Aponomma and Amblyomma (Ixodoidea). Australian Journal of Zoology 1: 111-161 pls 1-4.

Introduction

Amblyomma echidnae Roberts, 1953 has sometimes been treated as junior synonym or subspecies of Amblyomma australiense Neumann, 1905 (for example, by Camicas et al. 1998). However it is here treated as a valid species, following Guglielmone et al. (2009)
