Type data:
Holotype AM ♂ (coll.: xi.1941, N. Geary), Cunnamulla, Queensland.
Introduction
An ipoine-like species in its brownish colouring but it was placed in the Eurymelini because of the presence of accessory processes on the subgenital plates. It appears to be primarily an inland species although records from SE Queensland and Perth in Western Australia are more coastal.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: gregarious, myrmecophilous, phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
General appearance long and narrow, sometimes with a characteristic diamond shaped marking on the folded tegmina. Face of head pale apricot, or dark brown, mottled with yellow; lora and maxillary plates pale brown. crown and pronotum pale or dark brown, or black, mottled with pale brown or greyish white. Scutellum concolorous with the pronotum but a darker shade. Tegmen basally concolorous with the head and thorax with two irregular transverse whitish fasciae, which may be confluent in the costal area (Evans 1965).
Evans (1965) provided figures of the male genitalia.
