Holotype TDPI 145562 ♂ (coll: T. Semmens, 24.x.1990, 710m, u.v.light), Mt Michael, Tasmania.
Introduction
This species is only known from two localities in the Ben Lomond bioregion of NE Tasmania.

Diagnosis
This species can be distinguished from all other Australian Aka species by the presence of more than two spines on the male flagellum (Löcker 2015).
