Ecological Descriptors

The species was introduced deliberately in 1985/86 as a control agent of the introduced weed Hypericum perforatum (Clusiaceae), but failed to establish in Australia; the larvae have also been recorded as feeding on Eucalyptus sp. (Myrtaceae) in France.
