Diagnosis
Column, to 70 mm, pinkish. Verrucae in vertical lines corresponding to exocoels on upper portion of column. Oral disc, greatly expanded, to 125 mm, pinkish-brown with greenish tinge, irregularly folded edge with 300-400 lobes, distal two-thirds of aboral aspect of lobes with nematospheres, oral side with branched tentacles. Tentacles, numerous, tree-like, these tentacles extend in radial lines onto oral disc that do not reach mouth. Nematospheres pink with cream tip. Sphincter muscle with large number of long, fine, slightly-branched plaits, which arise from a thick quadrate protuberace of the mesoglea.
