Introduction

This genus is based on a single male specimen from Barrington Tops in New South Wales.

Diagnosis

This genus is most easily recognisable by the coarse and prominent carination of the frons, vertex, pronotum and mesonotum, the relatively long rostrum (attaining the post trochanters), by the relative length of the pronotum (longer in middle line than broad at anterior margin (about 1.4 : 1) and the smooth, rather polished, intercarinal areas of the mesonotum, and by the moderate number of teeth on the post-tibial spur (about 13 teeth) (Fennah 1965)
